Sustainablity on the Corporate Level Part 1: Cosco

Costco Wholesale Corporation Business Background Report
COSTCO.  Yes, the warehouse store of all warehouse stores is taking some serious steps towards sustainability.  Over that last few years Costco has sought sustainable products for its consumers.  Case in point Wilcox Farms along the Nisqualy River near Mt. Rainier in Washington State.  Costco connected with this local farm and services the warehouses in Seattle and Tacoma with local, organic eggs!

Ok, so I'm not a corporate human.......I prefer small businesses and tend to shop at farmer's markets.  But in the grand scheme of things I believe the fastest way to get sustainable products into the hands of the masses will be through companies like Costco.

Costco has warehouses all over the world.  Costco has power. Companies that use that power to impower local farmers and other businesses are capable of changing the world for the better.
